Decide where you want to go for higher education

Guidance for future courses
Between spring to summer, there will be many chances that you can attend for guidance for future school both in school and outside school.
You should join as many guidances as possible, and take chances to talk with University / college teachers.

A campus visit
Same time as guidances, many universities will hold "a campus visit".
If you have a university where you are thinking of applying in the future, then you should attend a-campus-visit and know school's atmosphere!

Check materials and documents of the schools
In the reference room, you can find many references about Universities and colleges in Japan.
If no documents left at our school, you can order them from Universities / vocational schools.
When you have time after shool, find information about the school which you want to go.

Through Internet
Each university has its own website.
Find information for the University which you are going to apply for.

Interview with homeroom teacher
When you are not sure wchich Univeristy to go after graduate from here, then you should talk with your parents, friends or homeroom teacher.
You will always find a better way... what do you want to study, what kind of University life you want to spend...

Going to graduate school
For going to graduate school, you will be start looking for which laboratory you want to study at, and who is the professor you want to be taught by.
Have a strong image of what you want to learn and research.
Usually, you need to get ready earlier for the graduate shcool to get in than universities or vacational schools.
So, you need to start discussing with homeroom teacher in advance with plenty of time.

Get documents and materials you need to enter into higher education

You can order from internet or by postcard.
Or if you request docuements you need at our school office, then school can also order for you.

Submit all the documents required such as application form, reason for apply, research plan...etc.

Application forms differ from each university / college.
First you will be filling out all the blanks, and let teacher to check all that.
For the reason for apply, you need to write briefly but clearly.
So, practice and get used to write essay, so that you can tell how much you want to enter into an university / college.

Take entrance exams..... written examination・essay・interview

Preparetion for written examination and essay, most important thing is to take everyday classes and study hard.
Suddenly when you realize the importance of the study, and learn hard from then, you might not be able to make to exams.
So, start studying hard already after you entered to this Kyoto International Academy. It is the accumulation of your efforts that leads you to success.
At interview, you need to be able to tell your own opinion with your own words.
Of course, you could learn speaking in your daily life, but once your schedule for interview has been decided, then ask your homeroom teacher to do practice for interview.

Announcement of acceptance

Once you have passed university / college, you will pay school tuition and do other entrance procedure.
After you entered university / college, you have to write reports or take exams like other Japanese students do.
So, don't waste your time until your graduation of Kyoto International Academy. Study Japanese hard to improve your Japanese skills!
